One of the guiding principles of this project was to think about how the app could genuinely support people through difficult emotional periods and there was an important focus on the responsibility and safety that these two functions require. There was specific care taken to strip the app back to its most essential components, reducing strain and mental overload and aiming to provide a sense of calm through slow timed animations and delightful user interactions.
