Bringing cooking closer to home

Cookie brings the cooking experience closer to home for the whole family. It’s designed to be functional, friendly and intuitive. A simple place to gather ingredients and surface recipes everyone can cook together.

With family at the centre, Cookie uses large, easy-to-tap interface elements across iPhone and iPad.
A companion Apple Watch app gives parents confidence and gives kids the independence to work through tasks on their own, while still letting parents check in on progress or active timers with a quick glance.

Designing a visual world the kids (& parents) will enjoy

The Cookie visual world is designed to be loved by kids, and parents alike, with round, soft interface elements that take away some of the pressure of cooking.

Recipes are easy to follow, and information is simple and concise on every page – so cooking becomes a joyful experience.

Watch the kids, not the oven

With a companion app for Apple Watch, parents can feel confident that the kids can make progress on their own, while jumping in to support when needed. With progress updates, parents can get notified as different parts of the recipe are done, and they can set timers right in the app.

Adult Oversight alerts ensure that safety always comes first - asking for a parent Pin before children can complete higher risk tasks like cutting with a knife or using the oven.

Altogether, the experience takes the complication of cooking with your kids away, and allows them to feel empowered to learn new recipes, with an app that can depend on for safety.
